Convergence Acceleration Solutions Group is also challenging others to help fight food insecurity by matching donations to Nutritional Development Services dollar-for-dollar up to the up to the amount of $50,000.
Families, adults, senior citizens, and children across the Philadelphia region who are in need of nutritious sustenance in the face of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are receiving a boost thanks to a $50,000 donation from Convergence Acceleration Solutions Group (CAS) to Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS).
The donated funds will be used to support NDS’ Community Food Program and help stock the shelves of its network of over 50 food cupboards located throughout the five-county metropolitan area. Funds will also be used to purchase meals for those in critical need of support and be distributed through NDS sponsored community food distributions.
Ms. Lizanne Hagedorn, Executive Director of NDS said, “NDS is pleased to be teaming up with CAS Group, an independent consulting firm that provides advisory services in the telecommunication industry, to provide increased food assistance to those in the region. Through its work with Philadelphia-based service provider Comcast, CAS Group is familiar with the Philadelphia area and is committed to helping those who call it home. In addition to a donation of $50,000 earmarked for the purchase of thousands of pounds of food to be distributed through food cupboards and outreach programs, CAS Group is putting out a challenge to match their donation dollar for dollar thus increasing the impact of their gift. At this very critical time when so many people are struggling to make ends meet, a donation of this magnitude can ease some of the suffering of those in our own communities. We are grateful for the opportunity given us by John McAleer, CEO and Founder, and his team at CAS Group which believes in giving back to the communities in which it works.”
In addition to the initial donation, CAS Group is challenging others to help fight food insecurity by pledging to match all donations made to NDS now though January 18th dollar-for-dollar up to the amount of $50,000.
