Nutritional Development Services Of The Archdiocese Of Philadelphia Hosts “Farmers To Families” Food Box Distribution

Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) will host a “Farmers to Families” food box distribution to benefit individuals and families facing food insecurity stemming from the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Saturday, January 30, 2021
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m
.
Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (Parking Lot)
222 North 17th Street
Philadelphia, PA 19103

The free pre-packaged food boxes, funded by U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) “Farmers to Families” Food Box Program, will contain nourishing produce, meat, and dairy products. Recipients also will receive a gallon of milk. NDS will have approximately 1,000 food boxes on hand to distribute to those in need.

NDS will also provide free student meal boxes for children and youth who are attending school virtually and not receiving school meals. Each box will contain seven breakfasts and seven lunches along with milk. This relief effort is especially critical for families with virtual students who cannot get to an NDS sponsored meal site during the week.

NDS will offer a contactless drive-through distribution following all social distancing guidelines. No registration, ID, or qualifications are required. Cars are asked to pull into the entrance of the APC Parking lot located on 17th Street and exit onto 18th street.
