Nutritional Development Services has provided food and food-related resources to those in need throughout the Greater Philadelphia region for nearly half a century.
Nutritional Development Services, (NDS) an agency of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, partnered with WSFS Bank to help our neighbors in need throughout the five-county metropolitan area who are facing hunger.
WSFS recently sponsored a Holiday Food Collection, which was supported by each of its 15 local branches in Philadelphia. WSFS staff and customers collected hundreds of pounds of food during October and November for distribution during December. All goods donated will help stock the shelves of the 50 food cupboards that NDS supports throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
Ms. Lizanne Hagedorn, Executive Director of NDS said, “NDS is grateful for the generosity of WSFS Bank, its employees and customers, especially during this time of the year. The lingering effects of the pandemic continue to expose the struggle of many in our area facing food insecurity. The donations of healthy and thoughtful food by WSFS will go a long way in addressing this issue.”
