School Meals
NDS partners with 98 schools serving a total daily average of 17,000 school lunches. Additionally, NDS makes the school breakfast program available to 84 schools, serving approximately 7,600 children each day.
Summer Meals
Many children in our community do not have access to wholesome meals in the summer. NDS partners with churches, agencies and feeding sites in providing a boxed lunch and the choice of a breakfast or snack to neighborhood children.
Child Care Meals
Nutritional Development Services partners with 65 Department of Public Welfare-licensed child care centers in the five county area and provides breakfast, lunch and snacks to 2700 children.
After School Meals
After school enrichment programs in many Philadelphia and suburban areas can receive meals for elementary and high school students at no cost and with minimal paperwork.
Our students are arriving bright and early to satisfy their hunger! They are hungry for a great education and a well-balanced breakfast and at St. Francis de Sales we are making sure that get both thanks the NDS’ wonderful program.

The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program has been the most exciting thing to happen at Gesu this year. Students are thoroughly enjoying tasting some fruits and vegetables that are totally new to them. They love listening to the morning announcements which explain the nutritional value and the history of the fruit and vegetable. This program has been invaluable to our healthy eating program.
