Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) to participate in the Coalition Against Hunger’s 23rd Annual Walk Against Hunger

Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) will participate in the Coalition Against Hunger’s 23rd Annual Walk Against Hunger Presented By ACME.

Saturday, April 27, 2019
9:30 a.m. (Kick-off)
Lincoln Financial Field
1 Lincoln Financial Field
Philadelphia, PA 19148

This annual fundraiser typically generates approximately $200,000 for anti-hunger organizations in the Philadelphia region. Last year, the walk benefited 70 food pantries and soup kitchens, including NDS, who help hundreds of thousands local families put food on their tables each day.

A portion of the funds raised by NDS through a dedicated link will be used to combat hunger through the NDS Community Food Program. The remaining 20 percent will go to the Coalition.

This year’s walk begins with a lap around the outside of the stadium, and will finish with a lap around the field. Participants will enjoy free snacks, live music and entertainment, and games and face painting for kids.

For over forty five years, NDS’ mission has been to serve children and those in need with healthy food and food-related resources. NDS accomplishes its mission in two distinct ways: by administering the federally-funded child nutrition programs and through the privately supported Community Food Program.
